Yes… the festive Christmas is over…, but the next best excuse to have more fun is yet to come – the New Year. Although it can be overrated, it’s the perfect time to wear something sparkly one more time before the year comes to an end ! And THE time to reflect and make some resolutions (this year, we think we will actually stick to them !).
We’re not going to bore you with what to do in the new year, instead we’ll take you to some of the best spots around the world to spend New Years Eve!
If you really want the best view of the fireworks, Ozone bar is the one destination – sitting on the 118th floor of a building leaning on the edge of the famous harbour, you’re guaranteed to see everything or head right to the Victoria harbour, mix in with the locals and have a true Hong Kong experience.
After parties at: Dragon- I and the whole Lan Kwai Fong (Central) clubbing strip will be wayyy too crowded so skip the long way up the hill and go straight to the outer streets of central.
Another New Years hotspot, the beauty of London is that there are so many different things to do- the Sky Garden, a gorgeous place overlooking all of London- this year they’re having a great Gatsby themed party! Similar to Hong Kong, they also have loads of river cruises for a beautiful firework display.
A really fun thing in London is the next day “day parties” for all you parti-goers ! There are tons to choose from!
Breathtaking fireworks- and a good thing about celebrating Downunder is that you can make it a warm holiday as well as spending your New Years in Sydney! A fun place to spend is Sake at the Rocks (featured in our Sydney gift guide) Fun vibe, fun crowd and you’ll definitely have a good time!
Or do a unique- Sydney only thing, spend your New Years at the Sydney Opera House for a glam event!
If you’re not into the whole New Years thing, then just simply host one at home! A bit of wine, cheese and some funky tunes, you can simply dance your way into the New Year.
